NEW: GFA SHORTLISTS 3 CANDIDATES FOR BLACK STARS VACANT JOB

The Ghana Football Association GFA has shortlisted three candidates for the vacant Black Stars Job following Otto Addos' resignation after Ghana exited the world cup in Qatar.
A number of candidates applied for the highly contested position but the FA has reportedly shortlisted the likes of Hector Cuper, Steve McClaren, and Chris Hughton as potential candidates for the job, according to AsempaFM.
CANDIDATES PROFILE
Hector Cuper
With a vast pool of managerial experience in handling clubs and National teams, Hector Cuper is one of the favorites to lead the Black Stars to Glory especially with the AFCON qualifiers coming up in March.
Until his disappearance from the international scene, Hector Cuper led the Pharaohs of Egypt to the 2007 AFCON where they were runners up, and was in charge from (2015 -2018). He also had spells with DR Congo from (2021-2022), and handled several European clubs including Inter Milan and Valencia.
He is expected to add his wealth of tactical and technical experience to developing the Black Stars if appointed for the job.
Steve Mc Claren
Unknown to many present Ghanaian generations, Steve McClaren is a 61-yr old English football manager, and ex-player who is celebrated for his inputs to the development of the sport especially handling teams like Wolfsburg (2010-2011), Derby County, and, as an assistant manager at Manchester United (1999-2001).
He also managed the England men's football national team from 2006-2007. And had spells at Middleborough, Newcastle United et al.
His impeccable knowledge of the sport could be an asset for the Black Stars in the future if he is given the nod.
Chris Hughton
A familiar face and son of the soil, Chris Hughton recently applied for the vacant position to coach the Black Stars.
He is highly-rated and a likely favorite to land the job after leading the team to the world cup in Qatar as the Technical Advisor. Chris knows a thing about the team and has a fair knowledge of the Ghanaian football terrain. It will be no news if he is appointed considering his spell with the squad and impressive inputs so far.
Born in Essex, England to an Irish mother and a Ghanaian father, Sixty-four year old Chris Hughton represented the Ireland national team and also played for Tottenham Hotspurs as a left-back.
His managerial career spans across a decade with spells at Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspurs, and as an assistant manager with the Rep. of Ireland.
His appointed is expected by teeming number of Ghanaians who feel his candidature is in the right direction.
