Africa is proving a point and possibly sending a warning to the rest of the world ahead of the world cup in Qatar, later this year. This is best described as a work in progress for Tunisia and Ghana who have just won all medals in the Kirin Cup 2022 held in Japan.

The Carthage Eagles beat the hosts (Japan) 3-0 in the final to win the competition for the first time since 2016, ending a their four times losses H2H (head to head) meetings with the Asian giants, and extending their recent consecutive winning streak to five.
The Black Stars of Ghana, on the flipside, put up a spirited performance against Chile with nine men; beating the South Americans 3-1 on penalties to grab third-place 🏅after playing out a goaless draw in full time FT. Belgium-based goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen made two crucial penalty saves for the west Africans who scored all three of theirs.

Both countries who will be representing the continent alongside the likes of Senegal, Morocco and Cameroon, smiled home with juicy financial packages; Tunisia carted away the ultimate prize cash of $250,000 while Ghana pocketed $50,000.
