Real Madrid won their 14th UEFA champions league (UCL) trophy in 17 finals following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Liverpool FC at the Stade de France in Paris.
In a very exciting and pulsating encounter, it had to be Vinicius Jnrs' 59th minute strike that ensured the comprehensive victory for the 'Galacticos' over the Reds, who were absolutely brilliant throughout the game.

Prior to that, Karim Benzema's half-time goal was disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) which later served as a launchpad for the Los blancos to get the winner afterwards.
Belgian Goalie Thibaut Courtois carted away the MVP award for an outstanding performance for making several important saves during the encounter.

The Kings of Europe got their revenge on the 1981 final where Liverpool won by a lone goal.
Coach Carlo Ancellotti set a record as the only manger to have won four UCL trophies since the inception of the Europe's premier competition.
