2022 FIFA world cup draw

The Federation of International Football (FIFA) held a successful 2022 world cup draw at Doha, the capital city of Qatar.

The event took place at the Doha Convention center, and was conducted by ex football stars Ali Daei of Iran, Nigeria's Jay Jay Okocha, Bora Milotunovic, Brazilian legend, Cafu, Rabah Madjer of Algeria, and, the legendary German forward Lothar Matthaus, who all took turns to pick balls for the pairings.

Also in attendance were celebrities such as Arsene Wenger, Idris Elba, Didier Drogba, Yaya Toure amongst others.

The draw witnessed some tough pairings and interesting fixtures that got some coaches uncomfortable as well as mixed feelings and  shocking reactions by some ex players. 


Four time African champions Ghana were handed a good test as they face old foes Portugal and Uruguay, and then South Korea in Group H. 

A total of twenty nine countries were seeded in Pots A, B, C, D, E,F and G, and duly grouped accordingly awaiting three other teams to complete the schedule.
