Thomas Partey converts to Islam

Arsenal midfield star, Thomas Partey has reportedly converted to Islam following a personal decision to quit Christianity.

The 28-yr old who joined Arsenal from Athletico Madrid in 2020 and has scored 2 goals in 57 appearances for the Gunners, believes that Islamic teachings and culture meet his current understanding of the world and his purpose on earth.

In another development, Beskitas Fc have confirmed the signing of Black Queens of Ghana 🇬🇭 captain, Elizabeth Addo aka Ama Pele on a two year deal. The talented midfield star joins the Turkish 🇹🇷 outfit from Swedish club Dallensvenksan FC.

The West Africans picked up their third title since 2015 and became the first host nation to win the competition after Egypt in 2006. In a much anticipated final that saw the 60,000 capacity Alassane Ouattara stadium filled to the brim, both West African nations exhibited high-level football with the Ivoriens dominating the encounter on possession. The Super Eagles got into the lead through a Moses Truust-Ekong header in the 38th minute which sent thrills throughout the stadium. The beauty of the AFCON cannot be matched when a resurgent Ivorien side that lost 4-0 to Equatorial Guinea in the group phase of the competition stepped up to redeem their image in a thrilling 4-5 penalty win over defending champions Senegal. Hamad Diallo got on the score sheet blasting home a thunderous shot four minutes into the encounter to give the Teranga Lions the lead.
