Black Stars suffer injury blow ahead of W/cup qualifier

Countdown to the biggest soccer dugout of the year #ghanavsnigeria FIFA world cup Qatar 2022 qualifying playoffs.

The Black stars have begun training at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi.

Seven players have reported to camp so far whilst the likes of Jordan Ayew and Antoine Semenyo are sidelined with injuries.

Semenyo picked up a knee injury during a championship game for Bristol City last week while Jordan Ayew is rumored to have contracted COVID-19 and may not be available for the encounter.

The Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo alongside his two technical assistants Mas-ud-didi Dramani and George Boateng (Aston Villa U23 coach) are currently in the city training with the arrived players.

A final list is expected to be announced by the GFA (Ghana Football Association) within 72 hours.

Meanwhile, Andre Ayew, Benjamin Tetteh , and Jordan Ayew have reportedly been excluded from the selection due to personal reasons by the coach.
